despatch ho. 237 of the 19th August,1930, requesting

reports every six months from December 1950, and in con-

tinuation of my despatch #o. 322 of the 4th December,1950,

I have the honour to report that the number of registered

muitsai re dining in the Colony at the end of the second

six-monthly period, 1.c. on the clat May, 1951, is 5,949.

As stated in paragraph 1 of my dospatch No. 622

under reference the number of registered maitsei rommining

on November 30th, 1930, was 4,117. The logal diminution

during the period under review is therefore 168.
